Hi there and welcome,
My name is Roger Lacroix and I am a professional photographer based in Terrace, B.C.
After graduating from St.Pat's High School in Ottawa , I went to work as a Geology Lab Technician at Ottawa University.It's here where my love of the still image came about. I was allowed to borrow a 35mm Zeiz Ikon on the
weekends and began taking pictures of my family .Back at work I learned how to use a 4x5 Linhoff and develop film as we catalogued rock samples.
Growing up my parents were always taking our family photos with a twin lens Rolliflex which fascinated me.
After going on to various jobs and travelling back and forth across this great country I decided to take some
part time photography courses at Western Academy and Camosan College in Victoria,B.C.
Having shot weddings and friends portraits I decided to join the digital revolution and started shooting sports.
Having purchased the AAA Photography franchise for Vancouver Island in 2005 my wife and I slowly built up the business of shooting all sorts of sports associations in the spring and fall seasons which has led me to shooting fast action tournaments .
My love and passion for photography is an on going labour of love as there is always something new to learn
and if it brings pleasure to others it most definitley makes walking in my shoes a personal delight .
